Hi, I’m Kim, the founder of Salty Tide SUP Co. and a certified instructor through the Professional Stand Up Paddleboard Association (PSUPA).

I grew up in Vermont, but I’ve always been drawn to warm weather, sunshine, and salt water. That pull led me to Florida in 2000. Although my wanderlust took me to a few different places along the way, I’ve always found my way back to the Gulf Coast, where I feel most at home.

My love for the water started years ago, but everything changed in 2022 when a friend introduced me to stand-up paddleboarding. I was immediately hooked. Within a week, I had my own board, and  I’ve pretty much been living on the water ever since.

What started as sharing the experience with friends quickly turned into something more. I found myself teaching, encouraging, and helping others build confidence on the water, and watching them fall in love with paddleboarding too. Many of them now have boards of their own!

Meeting other paddleboarders and attending paddle retreats led to me realize I have found my people, the SUP community is simply one of the most welcoming, supportive, and uplifting groups you’ll ever be part of. 

All of this has inspired me to turn my passion into a business. My goal is simple: to help you feel confident, safe, and have a blast on the water, whether it’s your first time on a board, or you’re looking to improve your skills and explore new places. Paddleboarding is more than just a sport, it’s an experience, a connection to nature, a community, and for many, a new kind of freedom.
